TIRF microscopy
We are developing a Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy workflow to study the dynamics of prion infection in real time and on live cells. We are aiming to visualise and track the interactions between prions and their host cells with exceptional precision and temporal resolution to further our understanding of the mechanisms of prion propagation. This may reveal general mechanisms underlying nerodegeneration caused by various prion-like proteopathic seeds. Join us in exploring the fascinating world of TIRF microscopy and its applications in prion biology, as we strive to make groundbreaking contributions in molecular neuroscience.
