Seminar at the University of Alabama at Birmingham
It was great to visit Prof. Fengbin (Jerry) Wang and meet Profs. Gino Cingolani, Laura Volpicelli-Daley, Lindsay Rizzardi, Peter Prevelige, Matthew Renfrow, Shu Chen, Louise Chow, and Tom Broker.
The delicious Mexican lunch with enthusiastic grad students Shane Rich-New, Lauren Fielding, Charlotte Brzozowski, and Gunnar Eastep was a highlight in the busy schedule.
I was also impressed with the infrastructure and facilities at the UAB. The campus and hospital are landmarks in the heart of Birmingham, which feels like a great city to work and live in. So glad I got to visit!
It was fun to travel via Atlanta on my return journey - a great opportunity to visit the iconic sites. The city had an awesome vibe. After the sightseeing, I still had 6 h to kill before the flight and was invited to relax in a cozy space with great coffee at the Switchyards Club. Amazing hospitality!
