CJD Foundation Conference: Mechanisms of Neurodegeneration in Human Prion Diseases and Their Intersection with AD/ADRD

Tom and I had the privilege of presenting our latest research at a meeting in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside Washington DC. We showed prion propagation in primary neurons, glia, and a neuroblastoma cell line using cutting-edge techniques such as genetic code expansion, bioorthogonal labeling, and cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy/tomography (cryo-CLEM/ET).

I was honoured to be part of the Structural biology of prion protein and other ADRDs panel with Prof. Byron Caughey and Dr. Grace Hallinan.
