Frontiers of Biostructure: Dialogs on Structural Biology and Bioimaging in Rio de Janeiro

I was delighted and honoured to speak at a spectacular symposium organised by the National Institute of Structural Biology and Bioimaging (INBEB) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro @UFRJ. Thanks to Mayra Marques, Tuane Vieira, and Jerson Silva, of UFRJ, @inct_inbeb and Tiago Outeiro of @uniGoettingen, @yourUMG.

The scientific program was fabulous, and so were the social events.

I am grateful for the stay at the ARENA LEME hotel by the Copacabana beach, the wonderful Rodizio dinner at Assador, the visit to the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, the celebratory Samba at the famous Rio Scenarium, and all the lovely gifts.

Brazilian hospitality is amazing…

INBEB aims to bring together all resources in structural biology and bioimaging to study the pathophysiological mechanisms of various diseases. It was great to visit the facilities, one of the best toolsheds in the Southern Hemisphere:
